Making quilts and blankets for Project Linus has been a continuing community service project for members of the Louisville Chapter of the American Sewing Guild. Quilts and blankets were made and donated in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Members made 25 blankets or quilts in 2008 and 36 in 2009. In 2010, the Louisville chapter of ASG will again participate in Project Linus.

The quilts and blankets are made with love stitched in for area children who have experienced some type of a medical or other crisis and need to security and love of a handmade quilt. Most are machine made but some are knit or crochet. The quilts and blankets are given to the Louisville Chapter of Project Linus who distributes them in the local area to facilities like Ronald McDonald House, Kosair Children's Hospital, area missions, and social service agencies.
