. Red Cross Disaster Relief Kits

One of the Community Service projects for 2008 was Red Cross disaster kits. These "comfort Kits" were constructed from washcloths that were folded and sewn to form pockets which were filled with basic necessities such as small hotel-size bars of soap, small tubes of toothpaste, combs, small bottles of shampoo, combs, and toothbrushes. The kits were distributed by the Red Cross to people who were temporarily homeless due to natural disasters or fire. Louisville ASG chapter members made and donated 100 disaster kits.
